Staff eat in comfort with Urbain Design's 'green' outdoor furniture

In addition to using 85% less energy than other commercial buildings, as well as an 89% indoor water savings and 25% savings on raw materials, MMM Group’s outdoor patio has also undergone a recent facelift - complete with beautifully functional picnic tables and chairs from Urbain Design’s 100% recycled, eco-friendly furniture line.

The idea for the rooftop patio, installed this summer, was a long time coming. Office manager Laura-Lee Fletcher said she always envisioned a comfortable space where staff could congregate together on break while taking in some fresh air.

“The staff love it and have used it every day since it was installed. We are using it more than originally planned, whether it be for lunch breaks, meetings, brainstorming sessions or company events,” said Fletcher, adding. ““We really appreciate the opportunity to showcase these eco-friendly products in our sustainable building.”

MMM Group’s rooftop patio (see above) is outfitted with Urbain’s redwood-coloured picnic tables and the timeless green chairs and folding tables. Manufactured with UltraPlast recycled plastic and hidden hardware, the economic and durable picnic tables can seat up to six people. The classic Adironack chairs and tables are entirely made from recycled plastic slats and lumbers and offer an ergonomic profile.

Made from recycled paper and plastics, Urbain Design by Cascades' outdoor furniture is both refined and pleasing to the eye, while being environmentally friendly. All Urbain products are backed by a 25-year limited warranty on recycled plastic against rotting, splitting, cracking or splintering during this period.
